Mansion in May 2023 Designer Showhouse and Gardens Takes Place at Three Fields in Mendham

Signature Fundraiser for The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center Takes Place May 1-30, 2023; Proceeds to Benefit the Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation at Morristown Medical Center

Tickets are on sale now for the 20th Mansion in May Designer Showhouse and Gardens, taking place May 1-30, 2023 at the elegant French manor-style estate of Three Fields in the Borough of Mendham, New Jersey.

Mansion in May is the signature fundraiser for the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC), generating over $12 million since its inception in 1974 for Morristown Medical Center, rated the number one hospital in New Jersey for the fifth year in a row according to U.S. News and World Report.

This landmark home and garden design and decor event attracts more than 25,000 visitors from across New Jersey and beyond. Advance ticket purchases ($50 general admission) or private tour reservations are highly recommended.

“Mansion in May always attracts prestigious designers, and this year is no exception,” said Alexandra Elliott, Mansion in May Design Co-Chair. “We received an impressive number of proposals from a multitude of well-known design firms from the New Jersey/New York area and the creativity, vision and inventiveness was, once again, outstanding,” added Lisa Overley, Mansion in May Design Co-Chair.

Twenty-nine interior designers as well as 14 landscape designers working as part of the master plan created by Susan Cohan, principal and design director of Susan Cohan Gardens, will put their creative talents on display through transforming indoor and outdoor spaces into varying themes throughout Three Fields’ sprawling estate.

“Our landscape designers have submitted unique proposals that are both beautiful and functional. They are exquisite, and will include vibrant flowering plants, a water feature, relaxing seating and dramatic sculpture. The estate grounds are exceptional with historic outbuildings, magnificent vistas and mature specimen trees,” said Katherine Sheeleigh, Landscape Design Co-Chair. Michelle Meszaros, Landscape Design Co-Chair added, “We are grateful to Susan Cohan, principal and design director of Susan Cohan Gardens, for her generous contributions in creating the Master Site Plan for the landscape design and her invaluable expertise.”

Funds raised at this year’s Mansion in May will contribute to the expansion and modernization of the Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation at Morristown Medical Center, which offers physicians, nurses, medical students, and other health professionals a safe and controlled environment in which to practice clinical skills without risk of patient harm through simulation training.

“We are grateful to the Women’s Association for choosing to support our efforts to update and expand the Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation as part of our unwavering commitment to provide the safest and highest level of care to our community,” said Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, president, Morristown Medical Center, and senior vice president and chief nurse executive, Atlantic Health System. “Having the ability to offer the most advanced simulation training for our medical teams continues to be paramount for our highly skilled professionals and ultimately for our patients.”

Built from 1929 to 1930 by prominent architect, Greville Rickard, Three Fields encompasses over 9,000 square feet of interior space and sets atop 36 acres of gently rolling hills in one of Morris County’s most beautiful and historic areas of Mendham

Three Fields is open to the public daily from May 1 to May 31, from the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last tour entry beginning at 3pm. No parking is available at the mansion, but a free shuttle service will run daily to transport visitors to and from the off-site parking at 82 West Main Street (Rt. 24), Mendham, NJ 07945.
