Why Morristown Is the Perfect Place for Living History
Few communities played a larger role in America’s fight for independence than Morristown.
Often referred to as the Crossroads of the American Revolution, Morris County served as home to George Washington’s headquarters and the Continental Army during some of the war’s most difficult years. The county’s preserved historic sites continue to tell the stories of perseverance, leadership, and sacrifice that helped secure American independence.
Living History Weekend offers visitors the chance to experience that legacy firsthand by walking the same streets, visiting historic landmarks, and engaging with knowledgeable interpreters who bring these stories to life.
