Writing for Stress Relief at the Mendham Township Library

Writing for Stress Relief at the Mendham Township Library

On Monday, June 24th, at 1 pm, the Mendham Township Library will host Writing for Stress Relief with Educator Linda Presto.

Now more than ever, people are looking for relief from the daily challenges of life. In this hands-on workshop, students (of any age!) will go through writing exercises, skill building, storytelling, and readings to help them direct their writing toward a calmer state and perhaps some wonderful stories of their own. Attendees will learn how to use freewriting, cliches, humor, journaling, and other stress-relieving writing activities.

Linda has been a professional writer for over 20 years. She worked in corporate communications, advertising, magazine and newspaper publishing. She has worked at Newsweek, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, The NJ Herald, and McCann Advertising. Linda is also a certified teacher of English K-12 and ESL in New Jersey. She currently teaches English Composition and Rhetoric at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Sussex County Community College. She founded College Coaching with Care, a premiere tutoring and coaching service for high schoolers.

This program will be held in the Brookside Community Church’s Scialla Hall, 8 East Main Street, Brookside, NJ.
