Women Win The Vote! A Talk with Nancy B. Kennedy at The Morristown and Morris Township Library
Celebrate Women’s History Month in The Morristown and Morris Township Library‘s Reference Wing on Tuesday, March 12th at 7:00 p.m. New Jersey author Nancy B. Kennedy will present an illustrated tour of the 72-year fight for the women’s vote.
Using her book, Women Win The Vote! 19 for the 19th Amendment, along with a trove of historical photos, you’ll meet women who devoted their lives to this epic civil rights battle. You’ll also learn more about the fight for suffrage in New Jersey, as well as right here in Morris County!
Nancy B. Kennedy is a journalist and the author of eight books. For many years, she worked as a reporter and editor for magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times and the online Wall Street Journal.
Her books have been praised by Kirkus, Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, and Booklist. She grew up in Rochester, New York, the home of suffragist Susan B. Anthony, and today lives in Hopewell, NJ, with her husband, John.
