Roxbury Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony at Horseshoe Lake
We are excited to announce that we will be having our traditional Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Monday, May 26, 2025!
Agenda:
9:15 AM – Lineup for parade participants at 25 Meeker Street, Succasunna.
10:00 AM – Start of Parade
11:00 AM – Start of ceremony at the Veterans Memorial on the Horseshoe Lake Island
Stand along the parade route to cheer on the Veterans!
The parade kicks off at 10:00 a.m. starting at the corner of Meeker St. & Hillside Ave. in Succasunna (near Roosevelt School), travels south on Hillside Ave., turns left onto Main St., travels past the Library and churches, turns right onto Eyland Ave., crosses over Route 10, passes by Eisenhower Middle School, enters the Horseshoe Lake recreation complex at 72 Eyland Ave., and ends at the War Memorial on “the island.”
Join us for the ceremony.
The ceremony at the War Memorial starts at 11:00 a.m. and is presented by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2833 and the Township of Roxbury. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
In case of rain, please check the Township website and Facebook page for announcements the morning of the event. If the parade is cancelled, the ceremony will still be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Horseshoe Lake picnic pavilion on “the island.” In case of wind-driven rain, the ceremony will be inside the Senior Center.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
