MORRISTOWN, NJ — Although we’re far from Germany, we can still celebrate Oktoberfest! So raise your steins as the beloved annual Oktoberfest returns to Morristown this fall. The cherished community event is returning, with Hillside Hose Company #1 recently announcing the date. This allows community members ample time to mark their calendars and prepare to celebrate the arrival of fall with family and friends. Hillside Hose Company’s annual Oktoberfest event will take place on Oct. 5, at the firehouse, located at 132 Western Avenue in Morristown.
Local craft beers and traditional Oktoberfest brews will be on hand, along with plenty of food from local restaurants and live music from bands throughout the day. Just like in years past, the event begins at 2 p.m. and will end at 8 p.m., officials said.
Although Oktoberfest is typically seen as an adult celebration, this event is open to all ages and encourages families to join in the fun. Admission to the community event is free.
Founded in 1914 by local citizens, Hillside Hose Company No. 1 now operates as Station 3 of the Morris Township Fire Department. It is one of the five stations that comprise the Morris Township Fire Department.
