Morristown’s Pumpkin Illumination Returns October 25 at Vail Mansion Plaza

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Get ready to light up the night—registration is now open for this year’s Pumpkin Illumination, happening on Saturday, October 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Vail Mansion Plaza in Morristown. The family-friendly event is free to attend, with a rain date scheduled for Sunday, October 26.

Residents are invited to bring their own carved pumpkins, which will be transformed into a glowing community art display at the end of the evening. Lights will be provided for all pumpkins.

Evening Highlights:

  • Live music from DJ Frank D.
  • Storytelling with Kit’s Interactive Theatre
  • Art workshop led by local artist Dan Fenelon
  • Luminary Parade through the plaza, led by the Mayor of Morristown
  • The signature Illuminating Pumpkin Display

Costumes are encouraged for all—kids, adults, and even dogs. Organizers note that well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to join the celebration.

Hosted by Morris Arts, Pumpkin Illumination blends creativity, performance, and community spirit in one of Morristown’s most anticipated fall traditions. Families can expect an evening filled with art, storytelling, and the magic of hundreds of glowing pumpkins reflected in the historic Vail Mansion pool.
