Lake Hopatcong Block Party Returns May 17

ROXBURY, NJ – The Lake Hopatcong Foundation (LHF) invites the public to kick off the summer at the 12th Annual Lake Hopatcong Block Party on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hopatcong State Park in Landing.

Held rain or shine, the event offers a Main Street-style festival with a fun lakeside twist. Organized by LHF, and supported by top sponsor Live the Lake NJ and media sponsor TAPinto Roxbury, the celebration promises a full day of food, entertainment, and community connection.

Vendors, Food & Free Boat Rides

More than 200 vendors will line the park, including local businesses, nonprofits, artisans, and food trucks. Food lovers can enjoy everything from lobster rolls and barbecue to fresh pizza and sweet treats.

In addition, guests can take free boat rides aboard the Miss Lotta and with Bridge Marina. Fun photo ops will be available with local mascots such as Herbie the Miner, the Roxbury Gael, and the Centenary Cyclone.

Entertainment & Family Activities

This year’s lineup features a mix of live performances and hands-on fun. Visitors can catch an exotic animal show by Eyes of the Wild, traditional Irish dance from An Clar School of Irish Dance, and dog agility demonstrations by Puppy-Wuppy Dog Training.

Anglers will enjoy a fishing demonstration hosted by the Knee Deep Club. Families can explore a kids’ zone with oversized games, a scavenger hunt, and craft activities. Meanwhile, adults can join the Passport Adventure by collecting sponsor booth stamps for a chance to win prizes.
