Mendham, NJ – On Monday, March 16th at 1pm, join historic program presenter, Joan Schaible as she presents You Go Girl at the Mendham Township Library.

Back by Popular Demand!  Join Joan Schaible as she explores the trials & triumphs of some women inventors in her newest program, You Go Girl. Traditionally, society expected women to marry, raise children, and manage the household. However, many women refused to be confined by those expectations and used their creativity and skills to invent and even patent important objects and ideas that we still recognize today.  There you can meet some of these incredible women on their challenging journeys to improve life for others.  Experience one lady’s famous accomplishment!

About Joan Schaible:

Joan was born and raised in New Jersey and attended Taylor University, Upland, IN.  While there, she taught middle school social studies and language arts in the town of Boonton, NJ. Similarly, Joan worked for the Morris County Park Commission as a Historical Program Specialist at Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morris Twp., NJ. In addition, She also serves as a docent at The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, Parsippany, NJ. Today Joan spends time giving a variety of presentations for school children and adult groups, as well as at libraries and senior centers.
