
Workshops to Highlight African American Historic Sites
Join Sankofa Morris and Morris County Historical Society to learn more, ask questions, and get involved in Morris County’s first county-wide survey of African American historic sites. Funded by a grant from the Morris County Heritage Commission, these workshops will highlight the opportunities available as part of the county-wide survey, which looks to foster a more accurate and inclusive history of Morris County and its communities. Thursday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m., at Morristown and Morris Township Public Library, 1 Miller Road, Morristown; Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m., at County College of Morris, Student Community Center, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph; Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m., at Morristown National Historical Park, Museum Auditorium, 30 Washington Place, Morristown. Free. Registration not required.
