
Workshops to Highlight African American Historic Sites
Join Sankofa Morris and Morris County Historical Society at Acorn Hall to learn more, ask questions, and get involved in Morris County’s first county-wide survey of African American historic sites. Funded by a grant from the Morris County Heritage Commission, these workshops will highlight the opportunities available as part of the county-wide survey, which looks to foster a more accurate and inclusive history of Morris County and its communities.
First workshop: Thursday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m., at Morristown and Morris Township Public Library, 1 Miller Road, Morristown.
Second workshop: Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m., at County College of Morris, Student Community Center, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph.
Third workshop: Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m., at Morristown National Historical Park, Museum Auditorium, 30 Washington Place, Morristown.
All workshops free. Registration not required.
