Workshop with Garrett Fisher

Inspired by the Notes on Napkins exhibition, join us for a workshop with Garrett Fisher, who demonstrates at the piano how he develops a musical idea from its very first spark. He shares his creative process step by step, showing how a small gesture can grow into something expressive and complete.

During the workshop, participants create their own “notes on napkins” using simple drawings, marks, words, or short musical fragments. Fisher then interprets these ideas at the piano, transforming them into spontaneous musical expressions. As he works, he highlights how imagination, curiosity, and careful listening shape each decision.

This workshop focuses on the art of beginning. It encourages participants to notice what emerges in the moment and capture it with clarity and confidence. Through this process, participants discover how strong and meaningful work often starts from a simple, authentic core.
