Joe Jencks is a 25-year veteran of the international Folk circuit. He is an award-winning songwriter and a celebrated vocalist based in Chicago. Known for his musical beauty, social consciousness, and cultural exploration performances, Joe delivers engaged musical narratives filled with heart, soul, groove, and grit. Blending well-crafted instrumentals and vivid songwriting, Jencks serves it all up with a lyric baritone voice with the edgy richness of a good sea-salt caramel. Jencks has penned several #1 Folk-songs, including Lady of The Harbor. He is a fan favorite throughout North America and beyond. A dual US-Irish citizen, Jencks has also served as a Cultural Ambassador with the U.S. State Department.

Carol Crittenden has been known to “light up the stage” with her sweet, soaring vocals and thoughtful, melodic tunes. She weaves her personal perspective into her work, whether in her emotionally intimate or acclaimed social-justice-minded songs, including her notable song, “RISE.” She has recorded and toured as the lead singer of Four Celtic Voices, with a #1 CD on the Billboard World Music Chart, and was recently honored to perform her original tunes at WFUV DJ John Platt’s “On Your Radar” at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC.
The event is part of The Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series each Friday evening at the Fellowship. Admission is $10.00 per adult at the door. Children 12 and under are free.
