The Folk Project Open Stage: Live Music in North Jersey Every Second Friday

Join us for The Folk Project Open Stage, North Jersey’s premier open mic night, happening live every second Friday. Experience an evening filled with incredible local talent, welcoming energy, and unforgettable music at one of the region’s most celebrated venues.

Whether you’re a musician, poet, comedian, or spoken word artist, you’ll find an enthusiastic audience ready to support you. The Main Stage features two-song slots or up to ten minutes per performer, whichever comes first. This format allows for a variety of voices and performances throughout the night, keeping the energy fresh and engaging.

To reserve your performance slot, email Chairman Todd directly at openstage@folkproject.org. Spots fill quickly, so sign up early to secure your place in the lineup. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but we strongly encourage advance sign-ups.

In addition to the live audience, we also offer a free livestream, so friends and fans can enjoy the show from anywhere. Share the link and let your community tune in to support you, even from afar.

Admission is affordable and the vibe is family-friendly. Children 12 and under attend free, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We welcome all ages to enjoy this celebration of grassroots creativity and community.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of a rich musical tradition that has welcomed performers for decades. Whether you’re performing or attending, The Folk Project Open Stage is a perfect Friday night out.

Discover your voice, meet fellow artists, and feel the magic of live performance. Join us this month!
