Spring Lunchtime Concerts at the Morris County Library
Celebrate the arrival of spring with music! The Spring Lunchtime Concerts return to the Morris County Library this May, offering two free midday performances in the Readers Services area. Concerts run from 12:15 to 12:45 PM, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy live classical music in a casual, welcoming setting.
Concert Schedule and Performers
Wednesday, May 14: Duo Diletto
Dr. Sarah Carrier (flute) and Leighann Narum (guitar) form Duo Diletto, a duo that brings warmth and precision to every performance. Their program features works by Niccolò Paganini, Enrique Granados, Máximo Diego Pujol, and Erik Marchelie. Since forming in 2023, Duo Diletto has performed at venues throughout the region.
Wednesday, May 21: Chamber Trio
The second concert features Nicholas Pappone (violin), Joseph Staten (cello), and Darren O’Neill (guitar). They will perform compositions by Olivier Mayran de Chamisso and Niccolò Paganini. This performance brings together three highly respected musicians for an exciting blend of string and guitar music.
Meet the Musicians

Sarah Carrier is a soloist and chamber flutist with roots in Southern California. She performs regularly and teaches throughout the area.

Leighann Narum teaches classical guitar at Rutgers University–Newark and brings decades of experience to her performances.

Nicholas Pappone is a New York-based violinist described by Maestro Lorin Maazel as “first-rate.” He performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player.

Joseph Staten performs internationally as a recitalist and soloist. He is recognized for his expressive style and technical excellence.

Darren O’Neill, Director of the Morris County Library, is also an accomplished classical guitarist who continues to perform and promote music locally.
Together, these musicians bring a fresh and engaging sound to the Spring Lunchtime Concerts, making them a highlight of the library’s seasonal programming.
