SAR Liberty Tree Dedication
Jockey Hollow Chapter, SAR to be First in NJ to Dedicate a Liberty Tree!
All are welcome to join the Jockey Hollow Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, for a special Liberty Tree Dedication Ceremony at Burnham Park. This event honors the memory of the Revolutionary War patriots who fought for America’s independence and marks an important step in celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.
The ceremony will feature remarks from local historians, civic leaders, and members of the Sons of the American Revolution, who will share insights into the historic significance of the Burnham Park area during the Revolutionary War. Attendees will learn about the symbolic role of Liberty Trees—living emblems of freedom that once stood as rallying points for early patriots in the fight against British rule.
The newly dedicated Liberty Tree will serve as a lasting tribute to the courage, unity, and spirit of those who helped shape our nation’s founding ideals. This event offers a meaningful opportunity for residents, families, and history enthusiasts to reflect on America’s enduring legacy of liberty and community.
