Rooted in Eternity
Harmonium Choral Society proudly announces its 2025–2026 season, featuring four concerts celebrating sacred heritage and cultural resilience. Furthermore, Artistic Director Dr. Anne Matlack leads Harmonium singers through a season of musical reflection, discovery, and communal joy.
On March 7th and 8th, 2026, audiences can attend Rooted in Eternity at Morristown United Methodist Church. Located at 50 South Park Place, this venue provides an intimate setting for connecting deeply with music and spirituality. Moreover, the concert highlights how music can bridge generations and cultivate meaningful human connections across time and space.
Additionally, the program includes Heinrich Schütz’s Musikalische Exequien, a 17th-century masterpiece combining violin and lute for meditative experiences. As listeners immerse themselves, they will explore themes of consolation, transcendence, and the enduring human desire for spiritual connection. Through this performance, Harmonium singers create an emotionally immersive environment that encourages personal reflection and inner renewal for every attendee.
The concert also features the premiere of Sing Me Home by Mark Miller, emphasizing belonging and spiritual grounding for modern audiences. Furthermore, audiences will experience Salve Regina by César Carrillo, offering sacred tenderness infused with Latin American musical influences. Finally, Breaths by Ysaye Barnwell delivers a live surround-sound performance that envelops listeners completely and creates unforgettable sonic landscapes.
Therefore, attendees will leave inspired, uplifted, and more deeply connected to both the music and the community around them. Harmonium Choral Society warmly invites music lovers, spiritual seekers, and local residents to join this exceptional event.
