Powder Mill & Ford Mansion Tour

Join us as we learn a little more about General Washington’s hosts at the Ford Mansion and the secret (gun) powder mill! This was critical to the early war effort, which was kept on the land now behind Acorn Hall. The tour will begin at Acorn Hall (68 Morris Avenue, Morristown) and include a half-mile walk to the Ford Mansion and back, followed by a presentation and then a quarter-mile hike to the archaeological site of the powder mill. Conditions will include hills and uneven terrain. Sturdy shoes and water bottles are recommended. Parking is available at Acorn Hall.
