Pickleball Returns to Washington Township This Spring
Washington Township Recreation and TJD Sports Academy are excited to bring back pickleball this spring. Pickleball, America’s fastest-growing sport, provides a fun, fast-paced activity suitable for adults at any skill level. Whether you are new to the sport or have some experience, these programs will help you develop your game.
Pickleball Lessons for All Skill Levels
Pickleball lessons in Washington Township will be held at the Long Valley Rock Spring Park Tennis Courts. Lessons are designed for beginner to advanced beginner players and will run for five weeks. You can choose from two available time slots:
- Thursdays, April 24th – May 22nd (rain date May 29th) from 9:00-10:15 am or 10:30-11:30 am
- Saturdays, April 26th – May 31st (rain date June 7th) from 9:30-10:45 am or 11:00 am-12:15 pm
These lessons will focus on pickleball fundamentals, covering technical and tactical skills. Each session builds on the previous one, ensuring that you progressively improve over five weeks.
“Play with a Pro” Sessions for Experienced Players
For players with some experience, the “Play with a Pro” sessions offer a chance to refine your skills through guided open play. These sessions will help you develop strategies and techniques with professional instruction, giving you the tools to take your game to the next level.
