Join us for a musical adventure with Pete the Cat at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. This fun-filled, sensory-friendly performance brings Pete’s colorful world to life through music, laughter, and heartwarming lessons.
When Pete the Cat meets the Biddle family, he instantly starts rocking their world with his upbeat spirit. But young Jimmy Biddle, a super-organized second grader, isn’t quite ready for Pete’s free-spirited groove. When Jimmy struggles during art class, Pete jumps in to help him find his creativity.
Together, Pete and Jimmy take off on a wild adventure—all the way to Paris and back—in a VW Bus. Along the way, they discover that inspiration can come from unlikely places and that friendship makes everything better. Pete the Cat will show kids and families that trying new things can lead to exciting discoveries.
The 4:30 p.m. performance is sensory-friendly, designed specifically for those with sensory sensitivities or special needs. This show features adjusted sound and lighting, a relaxed environment, and a designated quiet room. Audience members are encouraged to enjoy the show in their own way—feel free to move around, talk, or take breaks as needed.
To enhance comfort, MPAC will offer fidget toys and noise-reducing headphones for those who would benefit from them. This thoughtful setup helps ensure everyone can enjoy the magic of Pete the Cat in a welcoming space.
