North Jersey American Revolutionary War Round Table
The speaker is Jim McIntyre from Moraine Valley Community College near Chicago, Illinois. His topic is “A Soldier’s View: Johann Ewald and the Attack on Fort Mercer, October 22, 1777.” The talk focuses on Ewald’s account of the Revolutionary War from the perspective of a Hessian officer. His observations on the failed Hessian assault on Fort Red Bank are the centerpiece of the talk; however, Ewald’s other experiences in New Jersey, at the battles of Bound Brook and Monmouth, will also be covered.
The public is invited. For the Zoom link, send an email to arrt.nj@gmail.com no later than March 11.
