Stuart Lefkowitz, Masters of Arts in History, and author of Mining Iron in Northwest New Jersey: The People. The book tells the stories of people, who in their own words, and going back to the 1920’s were associated with the Mt. Hope Iron Mine as workers, or as children of miners. A significant part of this mine’s history is that it is believed to have been the major source of iron for the musket balls fueling George Washington’s army.
