MPAC Arts in the Community Presents: Theatre of Light 2024 celebrates our vibrant, diverse community and illuminates the season. Mayo Performing Arts Center will transform Vail Mansion Plaza into a stunning, festive landscape for this free event. A curtain of stars and lights will welcome guests to an unforgettable evening of joy and creativity.
Theatre of Light 2024 will feature spectacular performances and interactive activities for all. Magical winged dancers shine under special lighting while enchanted creatures and puppets roam the Plaza. The community will unite for music, dance, ice carving, and craft-making, creating an immersive experience.
This year’s Theatre of Light will showcase diverse artists and performers. Enjoy dynamic performances from Fluxion LED Light Dancers, MPAC Performing Arts Company, and Unity Steppers. OKAMOTO Studios will feature live ice sculpting, and DJ Lingo will energize the crowd. Throughout the night, guests can participate in hands-on creative activities. Children and adults can create wands, crowns, and more at the Craft Table. The Over the Moon art installation invites you to write wishes and intentions and attach them to a glowing silver moon.
The celebration will conclude with a captivating community light parade. Magical creatures, winged dancers, and surprises will light up the night, symbolizing unity and togetherness.
