Meet the Speaker: Judge Kenneth C. Mackenzie

A lifelong Morristown resident, Judge Mackenzie brings 33 years of judicial experience to the podium. He served in all trial court divisions and the Appellate Division, and now shares his enthusiasm for underappreciated figures in American history, like James K. Polk.

James K. Polk’s Presidency: A Nation Transformed

President Polk’s time in office from 1845–1849 saw massive territorial expansion and major national achievements. Mackenzie will explore how Polk fulfilled every campaign promise, from acquiring the Oregon Territory to securing California and much of the Southwest.
