How Jane Austen Speaks to Us Today at the Mendham Township Library
On Monday, July 14th at 1pm the Mendham Township Library invites you learn about Jane Austen and how her works still resonate with us today.
British author, Jane Austen’s (1775-1817) popular novels still resonate with us today. Join Dr. Laura Winters as she explores Jane Austen, celebrating her 250th birthday year, and how her books continue to speak to us today.
Dr. Laura Winters is a professor of English at Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown and adjunct associate professor at Drew University in Madison. She teaches literature, writing, and film, particularly the work of the last 100 years. In addition, she has worked for the last 25 years with the literature of grief and resilience.
