Home for the Holidays

Home for the Holidays in Roxbury Township

All are invited to Roxbury’s free fun festival “Home for the Holidays” on Saturday Dec. 2nd from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  This year’s event will feature new activities and entertainment celebrating not just Christmas and Santa, but also Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and the beauty of the winter season.

Santa arrives by firetruck at 11:05 AM at the library gazebo (103 Main St., Succasunna) to make his way into the library for photos. You can schedule a photo time by visiting https://calendly.com/roxbury/santa-land with walk-ins welcome starting at 12:30 pm.  The library will also feature Rabbi Inna Serebro-Litvak of Temple Shalom reading Hanukkah stories for children.  The Common Grounds NJ group and the Library Trustees will offer free diverse crafts for kids celebrating various holidays and the winter season.

You can meet Harvey, the beloved pet pig of Roxbury’s Algieri family, from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm in the gazebo and pose for a photo with him – a fundraiser for 11th Hour Rescue.  The Presbyterian and Methodist churches will be filled with vendors and crafters offering unique items for shoppers.    Singer/acoustic guitarist Angie Stierch will perform seasonal songs at the Methodist church.  RHS Classic Sounds Honors Choir and RHS Band ensembles will also sing/play.  Irish step dancers and tap dancers from DeNogla Academy of Irish Dance and Heartbeat Dance Center will entertain in the library.  Come hungry to Home for the Holidays because both churches will have lots of great food and drinks available for sale.  Two scout troops will also sell homemade treats and water bottles inside the library.  Don’t miss this fun-filled kick-off to the holiday season!
