Geraldine Rockefeller Dodge, born into the wealth of Standard Oil, married into the Remington Arms fortune, becoming the wealthiest woman in America at the time. She owned Giralda Farms in Madison, a grand estate where she hosted annual dog shows, established St. Hubert’s Giralda, and donated significant art collections. Additionally, she contributed to the town by funding the construction of Madison’s Town Hall.

Presenter: Mallory Mortillaro, an art historian and educator, will guide the presentation. Mortillaro has reviewed many of Mrs. Dodge’s personal papers and memory albums. She also co-curated the Geraldine Dodge exhibit at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts in Madison, giving her an intimate knowledge of Dodge’s life and legacy.
