George Washington And Morristown, New Jersey…Perfect Together at the Mendham Township Library

On Monday, February 10th, at 1pm, the Mendham Township Library will host historian, Joel Farkas as presents, George Washington And Morristown, New Jersey…Perfect Together.

Join Joel Farkas as he takes us on a “visual” walking tour connecting The Revolutionary War to Morristown, NJ to George Washington.  Learn and see what happened during Washington’s two Morristown winter encampments.  Joel will explore many local sites including the Ford Man, the Morristown Green and Jockey Hollow.  He will also discuss such topics as the Alexander Hamilton connection, Benedict Arnold, George Washington fact vs fiction and much more!  This is a program not to be missed!

Joel Farkas was an United States Army Officer and retired National Park Service volunteer at Washington’s Headquarters.  He is the recipient of the National Park Service Centennial Volunteer Challenge Award and has served as an enrichment lecturer for American Cruise Lines.  Joel has presented numbers Revolutionary War Lectures throughout the state.
