Fall Lunchtime Concert Series
After a successful run in May, we are thrilled to announce our beloved midday music recitals for October: the Fall Lunchtime Concert Series!
These performances occur every other week from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. in the back of our Readers’ Services area. Attendance is free, and seating operates on a first-come, first-seated basis.
We invite you to bring your lunch and enjoy wonderful music in a relaxed atmosphere!
To kick off our series on October 2nd, we are excited to feature soprano Aleksandra Durin and classical guitarist Darren O’Neill. They will captivate us with performances of works by renowned composers like Benjamin Britten and Richard Charlton. This promises a splendid showcase of vocal and instrumental artistry.
Then, on October 16th, prepare for an enchanting South American program as classical guitarists David Rogers and Darren O’Neill take the stage. They will perform an exciting selection of music by celebrated composers René Bartoli, Erik Marchelie, and Celso Machado.
Finally, on October 30th, we will close the month with a remarkable performance by Greg Giannascoli on marimba and Ron Stabinsky on electric piano.
In addition, they will delight us with the timeless music of George Gershwin, while showcasing his genius in a way that will resonate with all attendees. Ultimately, this performance promises to be a fitting conclusion to our October series.
We look forward to welcoming you to these engaging musical experiences at the Fall Lunchtime Concert Series. Don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in music, connect with fellow patrons, and enjoy a delightful break!
