Travel back in time at the Washington Township Historical Society’s Historic Evening Cemetery Tour on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Begin your lantern-lit walk through the historic cemetery and encounter costumed reenactors who bring German Valley residents to life, from 250 years ago.
First, meet Revolutionary War soldiers and local farmers, then visit a blacksmith, a judge, and families who shaped the community. Along the way, listen to their stories and experience the daily life, challenges, and traditions of early settlers. Each reenactor adds a personal touch, making history feel vivid and immediate.
Tours run from 5:30–8:00 PM, with timed entry tickets available starting September 1. In case of rain, the event will move to Sunday, October 26, ensuring everyone can enjoy this immersive experience.
