The Water Gap Jazz Orchestra returns to the Morris Museum with a festive holiday program, Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker and the Grinch Suites. They will perform Duke Ellington’s iconic Nutcracker Suite and their own inventive Grinch Suite. These works bring fresh energy to seasonal favorites and highlight the group’s bold, big-band sound.

This 17-piece ensemble features top-tier professional musicians from across the tri-state area. Each player brings exceptional skill and a strong artistic voice. Together, they create a powerful blend of precision, swing, and spirited improvisation.

For this special concert, acclaimed vocalist Nancy Reed joins the Orchestra. Her warm tone and expressive style add depth to the evening. Edward Ellington II, grandson of Duke Ellington, appears as narrator. His presence forges a direct link to the legendary composer and enriches the storytelling.
