Come Original: Live Music + Pop Up Showcase

Come Original: A monthly live music showcase centered on promoting original music from local bands and artists, while supporting local businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs with pop up shops at each event.

Join us on Saturday May 25, 2024 for a tight three band bill at The Madison Community Arts Center!

Auburn Grey is rock band from New Jersey who gig all around the tristate area. Their bassist and guitarist both sing and their sound is electric. Can’t wait to see this band. Check out this video of them! I’ve known Bad Blooms for about 8 solid years as a duo. This will be one of their first shows as a five piece band, and I couldn’t be more excited about it! They just released an EP last month called Goodbye that you can listen to here! Get ready for some chilling lyrics, ukulele, trombone, and guitar that you will feel in your soul. Watch their new video for Quicksand here! I love this band so much, I know you will too. Off-Knowneous is a newer band that I saw last summer at the most organized DIY backyard show I’ve ever seen called Cozy Fest. They are an Asian American alternative rock band based out of Bergen County, NJ who play covers of music from popular anime and Japanese video game soundtracks. Uniting over the love of both anime and Japanese rock music, Off-Knowneous also writes and performs original music with lyrics in Japanese, English, and Korean. Their set blew me away. You’re not going to want to miss this show! Watch a video of them here!

Pop up shops: Buy some art and comics from a local artist and business!

Dewey’s Comic City – Buy comics, graphic novels, and other cool things from our local comic book store! They will be bringing a variety of comics to sell, and of course Japanese, Korean comics, anime, and more from Asian creators.

Debe Sketches – Prints of fan art of comics & anime and some original comic covers.

Coffee concessions – water, coffee, etc.

Doors open at 7:00pm so you can check out the pop ups before the music starts at 7:30pm!

*Tickets are $10 if you get them today, and $15 at the door (cash or card)*

Grab a bite at a local restaurant before the show! Downtown is walking distance from the venue. We are also a short walk from the train station. There are free parking lots nearby and free street parking. There will be limited seats available so come early if you want to grab one!
