The Metropolitan Vintage Dance & Social Club invites the public to celebrate America’s birthday at the Centennial Ball on Saturday, August 1, from 8 to 11 p.m. in the historic Morristown Masonic Lodge, 39 Maple Avenue, Morristown, NJ. A workshop in historical dances will be held at the lodge from 2 to 4 that day. Tickets are $50 per person in advance/$55 at the door ($25 advance/$30 at the door with a student ID).
The event is modeled after the exuberant celebrations of America’s 1876 Centennial. Light refreshments will be served. The dress code is a nod to our country’s first 100 years of history. Wear formal or military dress from the colonial to bustle eras or modern formal or cocktail attire.
