Celebrate Lafayette’s 1780 Visit to Morristown

On May 10, 1780, Lafayette arrived at the Ford Mansion with news from the King of France. He would be sending arms, ships, soldiers and money to support the Continental Army. It was a turning point in the war.

We will hold a simple ceremony to commemorate this event at the Lafayette statue on the Morristown Green.
