Book Launch: Afoot in Morris – Walking the Parks and Trails of Morris County

Celebrate the release of Afoot in Morris, a brand-new hiking guidebook that showcases over 400 miles of trails and more than 50 parks, preserves, and sanctuaries in Morris County. This essential resource for outdoor lovers highlights the county’s natural beauty and provides detailed information for walkers and hikers of all levels. The public is warmly invited to a book launch event featuring the authors and the cartographer behind Afoot in Morris.
The event will take place in the lower-level Meeting Room of the Morristown & Morris Township Library. Guests will enjoy refreshments, and additional parking is available across South Street at the Vail Mansion Garage Lot.
About the Book

Meet the Authors
Daniel Chazin has been an active volunteer with the Trail Conference since 1982. He served on its Board for over 30 years and has authored or edited several well-regarded hiking guidebooks.
Jim Simpson, a retired journalist, brings his deep interest in local history and natural landscapes to this project. Though an urbanite, he’s a passionate trekker with a love for storytelling and the outdoors.
