Join Catherine Olivier, a skilled Book Arts Roundtable artist, for an exciting Adult Book Making Workshop. In this hands-on workshop, participants will create their very own “squash” or “explosion” book—a dynamic book structure that will become the centerpiece of your collection. When closed, this book folds flat and ties shut, but when opened, it unfolds in multiple directions, revealing intricate folds and layers.

This workshop is open to adults 15 years and older. You will work alongside Catherine, a talented children’s book author and illustrator with a long career in plush toy marketing and design. Catherine currently splits her time between Long Valley, NJ, and Glen Burnie, MD. Moreover, she brings years of experience and creative passion to every project.

Participants will need to bring a heavy book to use as a weight during the construction process. The workshop will provide all other materials and tools necessary for crafting the book. Additionally, this intimate workshop is limited to just 10 adults, ensuring a personal and focused experience for each participant.
