The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is the longest-running Shakespeare theatre on the east coast and one of the nation’s most respected theatres dedicated to Shakespeare’s canon and other classics. The annual Main Stage season, presented in the intimate, state-of-the-art F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre in Madison on the campus of Drew University, runs May through December. An Outdoor Stage production is presented each summer at The Greek Theatre, an open-air amphitheater located on the campus of nearby Saint Elizabeth University in Florham Park. Having celebrated its 60th anniversary season in 2022, the company serves approximately 75,000 adults and children annually through its productions and numerous education programs. Through both, STNJ strives to illuminate the universal and lasting relevance of the classics for a diverse, contemporary audience.
