Luke Miller House
- 105 Ridgedale Avenue, Ridgedale Park, Madison, Morris County, New Jersey, 07940, United States
The house was constructed c. 1730 and is associated with George Bockoven, a tenant farmer to Tory Peter Kemble. A large bake oven in the kitchen is said to have provided bread for the troops at Jockey Hollow. The house was included on a French military map “Map de Whippany a Bullion’s Tavern, 14 miles”, indicating that Rochambeau’s army passed this way in August, 1781, on the march from Whippany to Yorktown.
