Also known as the "Old Parsonage". Jacob Green was once described as "preacher, teacher, doctor, proctor, miller and distiller." He was the first Vice President of the College of New Jersey (later to be known as Princeton University). In 1748, he authored "Observations on the Reconciliation of Great Britain and the Colonies," which called for independence, universal religious freedom, and abolition. In 1776, he served as a Morris County representative to the New Jersey congress and assisted in drafting the first New Jersey constitution. Serving as a soldier during the Revolution himself, a member of the Gloucester County Militia.
