Hedges-Fish Homestead
Deacon Gideon Hedges left Long Island and purchased one thousand acres circa 1750 with his wife and two stepsons, Thomas and Nathan Fish. Thomas joined the Continental Army when he was sixteen, serving with Capt. Carter’s Riflemen. Gideon contracted in 1779 to supply oats for the Continental Army.
