Grow It Green Morristown is a hands and hearts in the soil nonprofit celebrating fresh food, and sustainable farming. Grow It Green's farms and gardens are community havens focused on education, their urban community, and sustainable farming.

Their mission is to promote health to strengthen communities through urban agriculture, discovery-based learning and equitable food access.The group works with the local community to promote physical and mental health with discovery-based learning programs for all ages.

Grow It Green grows food and community at two gardens in Morristown – the Urban Farm (31 Hazel Street) and the Early Street Community Garden (17 Early Street), and via their Winter Farmers Market held outside the Convent Train Station in Morris Township. Grow it Green’s Programs and Accolades:

-Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) and Farm Stand at The Urban Farm, 31 Hazel Street, Morristown, Thursday afternoons and Saturdays, June-November - see website for details

-Winter Farmers Market outside at Convent Train Station in Morris Township on Sundays November - April (closed holidays) from 9:30 am - 1 pm. Our Winter Farmers Market provides a hub for local farmers, ranchers, and makers on Sundays, December thru April.

-Early Street Community Garden, a treasured community green space for 80+ individuals/families to grow their own food, flowers and herbs and where strangers grow friendships in an urban setting.

-Educates 6,500 students from pre-K to college who visit our educational farm each year for discovery-based learning in an outdoor classroom, promoting STEM learning and sustainable practices, reconnecting them to nature, and demonstrating how we provide fresh produce for our community.

-Honored with the Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award, Garden Club of America Elizabeth Abernathy Hull Award and Morris County Chamber of Commerce Community Advocate of the Year.
