Gateway Totems

Gateway Totems is a public art installation by master stone carver Gabrielle Hiltl-Cohen located at the entrance to Grow It Green’s Early Street Community Garden in Morristown. The pair of limestone pillars feature carved panels representing the diverse immigrant communities that have shaped the Speedwell area over generations. Developed through community engagement and supported by the One Percent for Art program, Morris Arts, the Geraldine R. Neighborhood House Mural

Alliance Statue

The Alliance is a life-sized bronze sculpture on the Morristown Green depicting a historic May 10, 1780, meeting between General George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, and Alexander Hamilton. The work captures the pivotal moment Lafayette arrived with news of French military support, which proved essential to the American victory. Cast by E.I.S. Studios and dedicated in 2007, the historically accurate figures symbolize the vital international partnership forged in Morristown during the Revolutionary War.
