Troubadour Concert Series: The Tannahill Weavers
Feature act: The Tannahill Weavers
We were incredibly fortunate to be so convenient to the Tannahill Weavers‘ tour this spring that we could book them. This is Traditional Celtic music at its best! With fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs, haunting ballads, and a good dose of humor, this venerable Celtic supergroup has been transforming traditional material and bringing it into the modern world for nearly half a century.
In 2019 the Tannies were nominated for Folk Album of the Year and Folk Band of the Year in Scotland. Recently, they have been joined by piper Iain MacGillivray, who is Scotland’s youngest Clan leader and has worked recently on such exciting productions as Outlander and Men in Kilts.
No opening act this week.
The event is part of The Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series, sponsored by The Folk Project each Friday evening at the Fellowship. Admission is $10.00 per adult at the door. Children 12 and under are free. For further information, call 973-335-9489, or visit https://folkproject.org/.
