Nicholas Husk House
Mr. Husk served as a Private in the Morris County Militia under Captain Josiah Hall during the Revolutionary War. Like many local patriots, he supported the war through military service and work at home. He owned a large, productive farm in Montville that sustained his family and aided the community.
The Husk farmhouse still stands at 263 Main Road in Montville, a lasting reminder of his role in the area’s early history. Mr. Husk died in 1787, and although his burial site remains unknown, his contributions to Morris County’s Revolutionary legacy endure.
