Mount Olive Baptist Church Site
A minister of the Mount Olive Baptist Church, Pastor Runyan, was a Royalist. On the last Sunday in 1776, he offered a prayer of thanksgiving for the British army that had been victorious the previous week. The present building was constructed in 1855. In the adjacent cemetery is buried American Revolution veteran John Budd, for whom Budd’s Lake is named.
