Cider Pressing
Cider Pressing
Step back in time and watch history come to life as the Ralston Cider Mill Museum demonstrates authentic apple pressing using its fully restored 19th-century water-powered equipment. Guests will have the unique opportunity to observe the traditional cider-making process, from apples to freshly pressed juice, while learning about the rich agricultural and industrial history of New Jersey’s only operational water-powered cider mill and grist mill.
Admission is $15 per person and includes a live pressing demonstration, a short educational video about the mill’s fascinating past, and a taste of the crisp, freshly made cider. Visitors can also purchase cider to take home for $10 per gallon—perfect for savoring a taste of fall later on!
The event will also feature a local food truck offering seasonal bites and refreshments, along with samples of hard cider crafted by regional cider makers. Bring your friends and family for an afternoon filled with history, flavor, and community spirit.
