MORRIS PLAINS, NJ – Residents are invited to gather for a night of fall fun at the annual Community Bonfire, taking place on Saturday, October 25, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Community Park. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will move to the rain date of Sunday, October 26.
Sponsored by the Borough of Morris Plains Recreation Commission, the event promises a festive evening filled with hayrides, glitter tattoos, live music, refreshments, and of course, the seasonal favorite—roasting marshmallows. Marshmallows will be provided, ensuring everyone gets to enjoy the sweet tradition.
In addition to the bonfire, families will have the chance to participate in pumpkin decorating (while supplies last). This activity is open exclusively to Morris Plains residents and offers a creative way for children and families to get into the Halloween spirit.
“This is one of our most cherished fall traditions,” said organizers. “It’s a time for neighbors to come together, enjoy the season, and celebrate community spirit.”
Residents are encouraged to bring friends and family for an evening that highlights the small-town charm of Morris Plains.
