Morristown, NJ (October 4, 2023) – The Morristown Festival of Books, New Jersey’s premier book festival, is this weekend, Friday, October 6, and Saturday, October 7, 2023. Over 100 bestselling, critically acclaimed, award-winning fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and children’s authors will speak to audiences and sign their books. Book lovers will not want to miss this. On Friday evening, October 6, at 7:30 p.m., Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists James B. Stewart and Rachel Abrams will discuss their jaw-dropping New York Times bestseller, Unscripted: The Epic Battle for a Media Empire and the Redstone Family Legacy, with Brian Stelter, former CNN correspondent at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. On Saturday, October 7, the main festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m. The festival venues, including St. Peter’s Church Sanctuary and Parish House, The Church of the Redeemer, and the Morristown/Morris Township Library, will have a full schedule of author discussions and Q&A sessions. Following their talks, each author will proceed to the Vail Mansion lawn to sign books under the Book Tent. Books will be sold throughout the day at the Book Tent.
Also, on Saturday, October 7, KidFest will be held on the lawn at St. Peter’s Church from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. featuring more than 50 exceptional children’s authors and illustrators. NEW THIS YEAR, all the authors will be present to meet visitors while selling and personally signing books for the ENTIRE DAY. There is no need to arrange your calendar around a particular author. Just come anytime and see them all. KidFest will also present specific authors at designated times, including Rachel Vail from 11:30 a.m.-12 noon, Dan Gutman from 1 p.m.-2 p.m., and Wendy Mass from 2:30 p.m.-3 p.m.
