Morris County Recreational Opportunities Abound
There is so much to explore and enjoy at the Morris County Park Commission's regionally- and nationally-recognized sites located on 18,800 acres. Their facilities includes 38 locations: historic sites, challenging golf courses, outdoor educational and recreational facilities, arboretums, conservation areas, 150 miles of well-groomed trails, an ice skating arena and more than 18,000 acres of passive and active recreational opportunities throughout the county.
There is something for everyone: golf, hiking, ice skating, sledding, ice fishing, fishing, boating, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, biking, recreational fields, outdoor environmental education and special award-winning programming.
Day-by-day listings of events are available in the Park Commission's publication "Pathways" which is published four times per year and available online.
