FRIDAY SUMMER NIGHTS ARE FOR FREE GAZEBO CONCERTS IN JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP!
SCOOT ON DOWN – AUGUST 4
The Jefferson Arts Committee’s 2023 free summer gazebo concerts continue at the beautiful Victorian gazebo in the municipal complex (1033 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge). All concerts begin at 6:30 PM and run for two hours, usually with a short intermission.
This exciting band plays music not normally heard live anymore. From Chicago and James Brown to Hughes Corporation and the Jackson Five, from the Eurhythmics to Kid Rock to Johnny Cash to Reel Big Fish and Bon Jovi. You’ll also hear some standards with a “Scoot” twist! Nothing is off-limits for them because “everything sounds better with horns”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbnoENzFge8
Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort. Non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds. All trash must be taken home upon departure. Singing along and dancing are encouraged wherever the music takes you.
Parking is available in the municipal building/library parking lot, behind the municipal building in the employee parking area, and in the Creative Playground parking lot. Please do NOT park along the entrance/exit main driveway!
A port-a-john strictly for use during the concert series will be on site for your convenience.
In the event of or threat of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Jefferson Township High School Auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road (.1 mile away and air conditioned). For updates, visit Jefferson Arts Committee on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/JeffersonArtsCommittee or www.jeffersonarts.org, or call 201-230-8879 or 973-697-3828.
All concerts are free and open to the public, but a free will donation is always appreciated.
