In 2011 the Morris County Tourism Bureau, together with Discover Jersey Arts and the Newark Museum were awarded 1st place in thePartnerships/Co-operative Marketing catogoy at the annual Tourism Conference.
The award was based on the following criteria:
A marketing effort where the entrant and other enterprises (public or private/commercial or non-profit) cooperate to promote travel to or within state where the nominee has a principal role in developing, financing, and/or executing the project. Partnerships are of utmost importance to the continuing strength of the New Jersey tourism industry. The partnership leverage marketing funds and add stability to the participating parties? The partnership added value to the visitor's experience in New Jersey.
